Zipper ruffles

I finished that before mentioned project. This is a dress I got at the $1 sale I used to attend every week. It was missing one sleeve so I cut the other one off, hemmed the bottom with a raw zipper edge and added little zipper ruffles to the sleeves. I've never done anything like this so it is far from perfect. It was a lot of fun altering something and I think I'm going to try to do more stuff like this. What a perfect way to feel like you have new clothes without buying new clothes!

The sleeve detail looks fantastic! So impressed!

Summer will leave me much more time for projects and I am always inspired by the things you seem to create of out thin air.

I love the hem idea and execution (and the picture from the earlier post where you can see it up close)! Looks great. I have a pair of pants where some "genius" decided this would be a great detail on the waistband. Ouch. It's really not so cute having zipper teeth marks on your waist, so I really need to alter that because the pants are otherwise quite hot.
