FINISHED!!!

I finished the raccoons today! I have five now total. Three of them will be headed for St. Louis but the other two will be in my etsy shop waiting for a home. I also have an idea for my third and final animal, but I want to work on it a bit before I promise anything so more details later.

Quality

When I was working at Camp Luz our wonderful director Deb gave us each a clipped out word from a magazine that described us. Mine was bright red "Quality". I had to laugh. Some people are just good at quality, they are natural perfectionist. I am not one of these people. Instead of the little clipping being a confirmation of my strength I have decided to make it my mission.

So even though I finished sewing together 4 brand new raccoons lasts night, something I have been working on for over a week, I will not be showing them. Nope, I am re-doing them. Starting over. Why? Because I'm not proud of them. I don't think they display what I'm capable of so I'm going to work on them until they do.

*sigh* back to work.

Tie the Raccoon

My newest Etsy addition, Tie the Raccoon. Tie is a bandit on a mission to help little ones learn how to tie, and to be... well... just cute. Check it out by clicking the Etsy link in the right column or by clicking the title of this post. This is the second animal in my three part learning animal series. First was Buttons (in last picture) and next will be Zippy the Skunk.

Buttons

This is Buttons the Bunny, my newest creation for etsy. Mark helped me put the final touches on the shape of it and I think it turned out pretty cute. I will be creating a whole line of little animals like this.Buttons ear and eye button together. I want each one of them to have a little learning skill on them. The next one will be a raccoon, and I will try to post a sneak peak before I put it in the shop.

Also this month we are having quite a few visitors so I may be a little slower on the decorating, crafty type posts but there will be lots more wonderful site seeing pictures and more of Mark and me :)

tiny little house etsy store

Now that we are adjusted to L.A. I am starting our tiny little house etsy store back up. I have reposted some hats and hope to add some stuffed animals that I am working on very soon. I will keep the blog updated with the latest items and some previews of what we're working on. You can click on the link in the right hand column at any time to go to the store.
